The fully developed centre offers superior performance and ‘state of the art’ facilities for elite training, competition and recreational swimming, water polo, and diving. Stage 1 included a FINA 50m x 25m pool with movable boom for flexibility of programming.
Stage 2 included a 4000sqm canopy over the 50m pool, 650 seat grandstand, and dedicated control centre complete with amenities, and full equipment to conduct race meets.
Stage 3 is the largest stage of the proposed master plan redevelopment. This stage involved reconfiguring the site to allow a new entry point off a public forecourt, and strengthens the centres connection to the RRC’s ‘Riverwalk’ project.
