— Western Downs Regional Council

Expansion of the Dalby Aquatic Centre represents the first major development of the communities’ aquatic facilities since the centre’s opening in 1936. It was funded through a $4.6M State Government Grant and successfully delivered wholly within the constraints of both timing and budget.

The project maintained the specific goals of creating an indoor heated pool offering flexibility in programming, environmental performance and equitable access for the community; providing year round aquatic activities, including learn to swim, seniors fitness, aqua aerobics, sport fitness training, injury rehabilitation and regional swimming carnivals.

The result of the new facility has been incredible on the community with an overall increase of patronage around 75% for Q4, better represented as 82% of the historical annual patronage in a single quarter.
