The private consortium included City Venue Management as the appointed operator and Liquid Blu as the design partner, responsible for design and construction support to the build partner, Spantech.

An integrated approach by Council and the consortium partners helped establishproject parameters at the pre-design phase which greatly assisted in establishing the most suitable approach and more importantly with managing project budgets and programs.

The end result is an innovative planning and building methodology that has guaranteed Brisbane City Council and all stakeholders, a long term value-for-money investment.

The design of the multi-purpose recreational centre offers a facility mix that includes a 50m 8 lane outdoor pool and an indoor pool, both heated and with disability access ramps; and provision has been made for a large gymnasium space on the upper level with the fit out to be completed at a future stage. Supporting facilities include amenities, family rooms, open change area, changing places room, kiosk, First
Aid room, separate offices for LTS co-ordinator and facility manager, dry and wet equipment stores, car parking and large open green areas with landscaping.
